Looking for even MORE summer fun? After Camp Butwin is over, spend the next week with us at Butwin Extended, where we have something for everyone. Campers will spend their mornings focusing on a specialty of their choice and their afternoons in fun and creative camp-themed electives, swimming and Shabbat activities on Fridays. There’s no better way to wrap up the summer! Please note, a $25 late fee will be charged for any registration received after July 31. All payments due by August 1. Experience the joy of horseback riding in this program that’s progressively structured to provide a fun experience interacting with gentle horses. Instructors are trained in horsemanship and carefully match the experience of each child with an appropriate horse. Safety is our top priority. We introduce the basics of Western riding and focus on equitation (horsemanship) skills that will set a foundation for a lifetime of riding. For campers entering 3rd grade. Maximum participants 12.
Have fun and get wet in the is week where mornings are themed around water sports and activities. Campers will play pool basketball and volleyball, try water zumba, enjoy a round of Marco Polo, and have fun making classic land games “wet.” Minimum participants 10, maximum 40.
Does your young artist love to get messy? So do we! We’ll paint with plaster, sculpt with gooey gunk, make papier mache dragonflies and fling paint like Jackson Pollock. We will even learn some art terms along the way. These are not projects to tackle at home-leave the mess with us. Making a mess is the best!
In Snapology's Robotics & Coding, students interested in technology will create robotic models inspired by real life robotic technologies. Students will learn about gear ratio, sensors, simple machines, and programming as they build vehicles, creatures, catapults, robotic arms and much more. We’ll have different age-appropriate builds for students from k-6! Students will have a blast exploring the world of robotic technologies as they build, learn, and play with Snapology. This week-long camping trip includes a 3-day 2-night trip exploring the beautiful Superior Hiking Trail, and enjoying the pristine state parks of Northern Minnesota. The highly trained staff at Wilderness Inquiry will lead us on a trip of a lifetime camping our way through the wilderness. You bring the sleeping bag and other personal needs, and we’ll provide the rest! Limited to 12 participants.
Campers will explore the campgrounds, finding the beauty in nature and using it as an inspiration in their creative masterpieces. We will learn about the different plants and animals at Camp Butwin, and experiment with mediums including collage, print, and more! Minimum participants 10, maximum 25.
Give your funny bone a work-out in this zany camp! Campers will build confidence as they learn the basics of performance and improve. This is a setting where wackiness is encouraged! We will end the week with a showcase for our friends at camp! Minimum participants 10, maximum 25.
Inspired by the popularity of obstacle courses like Ninja Warrior and Tough Mudder, campers in Obstacle Course Adventure will see Camp Butwin transform into an ultimate obstacle course challenge for the week! Good luck to the challengers! Minimum participants 10, maximum 25.
