Camp Butwin Philosophy

Camp Butwin located on Lake O'Brien in Eagan and set on 88 acres surrounded by Lebanon Hills County Park, is one of the most beautiful camps in the Twin Cities.

Our specialty is Children! The Camp Butwin experience includes:

  • Cooperative, and inclusive approach in an outdoor setting.
  • Creative community experience through song, dance, art and celebration.
  • Building Jewish Identity through Israeli and Jewish themed programming.
  • Develop self-confidence and esteem by learning new skills and mastering old ones.
  • And, of course, we have lots and lots of FUN!

Testimonials:

Joseph loved going every day! He enjoyed all camper activities and he really surprised himself and his family in how willing he was to try new things out of his usual element. The counselors supported him and encouraged him to step out of his box. - Sunny Kase, mother of Joseph.

Rachel has special needs and is always supported and included at camp - it makes us and her feel good! - Kari Lieber, mother of Rachel

Yoni's favorite parts were swimming and horseback riding (which he did for the first time ever). - Sheyna Galyan, mother of Yoni

It is a true camp experience - lots of time outdoors, fostered great "camp spirit". It is the perfect summer program for my child. - Robin Solomon, mother of Zeke.
