Camp
Butwin has 12 horses, 2 baby goats, and Norman, the calf,
living in the Camp Butwin Corral every summer. Horseback
riding is always a favorite activity for campers. The campers
learn to ride from professional Horse Specialists. We ride
on Camp Butwin trails and the extensive trail system in
the Dakota State Park that surrounds camp. In addition to
riding, our specialists teach horse care, grooming and saddling
techniques.
All
riders must wear long pants, close toe shoes, and camp provided
ACA certified helmets.
