2010 Summer Theme:
Taglit - "Discover"
At Camp Butwin we will spend the summer discovering! Themes will include "discover science",
"discover Israel", "discover friendships" and "discover the environment". |

The St. Paul JCC dedicated its new Harold and Patrice Kaplan Family Recreational Fields
at Camp Butwin on Sunday June 21. Thanks to a generous gift from Pat and Harold Kaplan,
the new softball and soccer fields are the first step in creating the camp's "Field of Dreams."
Shown here are four generations of the Kaplan family (L-R): Bella, Esther, Benjie, Jamie,
Jennifer, Harold, Bob, Pat, Naomi and Reuben Kaplan.

We
are very excited about an incredible new addition to Camp Butwin.
A new community resource, the Lodge on the Lake will
offer a modern conference/retreat center in a beautiful, outdoor,
natural Jewish setting just 20 minutes south of downtown.
Designed
in woodsy lodge style, the Lodge has large wooden porches
and patios. Built as a walk-out on two levels, it boasts a wall
of windows that overlooks beautiful Lake O'Brien.
The
Great Hall can seat 100 people at round tables or 200 people theater
style; it has a small stage with all of the modern audio-visual
capabilities. Camp Butwin will be one of the only retreat facilities
in Minnesota with Kosher meat and dairy kitchen areas. Additional
office space, bathroom facilities, meeting rooms and storage space
will fill out the upper level.
The
lower level has a cozy lodge feel with comfy furniture around
an inviting fireplace. On this level there is a large arts and
crafts space as well as a small chapel. The Lodge is
100% accessible in accordance with the ADA.
